Our primary goal is to ensure that law enforcement has the best available technology in specific focus areas. Riverland has been utilized by many organizations including:

  • Local Police
  • Sheriff’s Departments
  • State Police
  • State Highway Patrol
  • FBI
  • U.S. Military Bases

Riverland Technology meets CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Systems) compliance standards.

While most agencies select our standard offering, we can customize a solution that includes features for:

Drug Interdiction: The Interdiction market is a large segment of law enforcement. We enable interdiction officers to utilize our specialized LPR (automatic license plate recognition) to determine movement of drugs and money across our roadways. The highly advanced technological system can also help create suspect lists based on time frame research. That is, license plates that passed specific areas in certain time frames can be identified, thus creating a suspect pool. This data is used to identify, and if necessary, detain criminals as they move throughout our country.

Human Trafficking: Human Trafficking crime is a fast growing segment of law enforcement concern. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are victims of this horrible crime. We enable agencies to monitor traffic patterns of suspected criminals involved in this criminal activity and to help them bring those responsible to justice.

Want/Warrants: Local agencies can load their local Wants/Warrants lists into our system so that they can be instantly alerted if a wanted vehicle passes an LPR camera. The time sensitive aspect of this service makes it indispensable to law enforcement. In addition to the immediate response capabilities of LPR, it is also an excellent tool to determine what vehicles are crossing certain areas and when. This makes it a useful tool for criminals potentially crossing state lines. We use specialized cameras to read both the front and rear plates of vehicles, get a picture of the vehicle, and determine the state of origin of the license plate.

Stolen Vehicles: We can either use the full NCIC list or a parsed version to identify and find stolen vehicles. This capability limits hits to a localized state or group of states via leading LPR cameras. Using a superior system allows the identification and tracking of a vehicle’s history and raises any alerts or warnings that may be indicated from past travel and experience.

Gang Activity: Our system allows agencies to monitor lists of suspected gang related individuals or activities throughout a city. This is accomplished via plate tracking and enables immediate identification from high level LPR cameras.

Historical Crime Investigation: Using advanced analytics, the agency can look back through a list of plates in a specific area, at a specific time to determine a suspect pool. The use of our LPR cameras and software ensures highly accurate results and identification tools. With this ability, as well as providing cutting edge LPR cameras, Riverland is able to provide confidence to our customers in the efficiency and effective use of our systems. * within permissible use policies as outline by state and federal government for LPR data retention and use.

Riverland Technologies provides the LPR cameras & software and hardware in the State of Mississippi with over 400 cameras deployed within the state. We have been instrumental in solving numerous crimes, from petty theft to homicides and assaults.
